REFLECTIONS ON RESOLVE MEDIATION PROCESS

Working Through the Blockages ...

When I was first presented with the Christian mediation option, I honestly thought that it would not resolve the issues. I was very nervous about mediation. I had been in the Court system in earlier years... it was a horrible experience.

The mediation was incredibly successful. It dealt with a number of the personal issues that had triggered harsh accusations back and forward. The process was amazing. I was very impressed with the way Neil Evans helped both of us to work through the blockages we were facing.

I believe Christian mediation is a much better way of dealing with disputes. I strongly recommend Resolve and particularly Neil Evans. - Name withheld

A Valuable Asset in Settling Disputes ...

I have been involved with formal and informal Christian mediation over the last two years.

I am particularly impressed with the way in which the Christian mediation process can address personal hurts and offences as well as working through the problem areas blocking progress in disputed matters.

I am very glad to recommend the kind, compassionate and clear mediation process used by Resolve and very ably demonstrated by Neil Evans as mediator.
I have no reservation in recommending Resolve and the Christian mediation process as a valuable asset in settling disputes where negotiation has failed to achieve a result. - Alan Broadbent

A Reconciler Graduate writes ...

I used the (Reconciler Course) training ... over the weekend in a domestic situation which involved some police. The couple have had numerous disputes in the past.

We went through a reconciliation process. The wife was very anti at the start but halfway through completely melted as we dealt with some deep heart issues. My wife and elder and his wife were impressed with the process. God is good. The couple are back together having worked out some of the issues. Blessings, Bill - (not real name)

From a thankful church leader ...

For the past year our church has struggled with very complex conflict issues. We have had a culture of people thinking they are being nice by avoiding confronting issues and avoiding tackling "bad" behavior. Our church leadership was undermined which caused a mass resignation of those in key leadership positions, leaving a few of us to run the ship (daily church activities) and also left to manage the significant conflicts that had occurred and the relationship break downs between our congregational members and also amongst our resigned leadership.

Without the help of Resolve our church would have crumbled. They advised us of how to work through the issues, to table them, and to address them. Of greatest assistance were Resolves recommendations of pastoral support staff to help with relationship breakdowns and the recommendation of a skilled trained Christian mediator.

As I look back, I wish we had accessed the ministry of Resolve early. But as is commonly the case we only seek help when we are at the "bottom of the cliff", so much conflict can be avoided if only we took the time to lift our heads out of the sand before we are actually forced to and by then things are much worse.

We are thankful that our church has come through such a difficult time, we praise God that we are stronger for it and so thankful that there is a ministry like Resolve to help equip us for dealing with conflict in a God honoring way.

From one very thankful church leader and supporter of Resolve. - (Name withheld)

Peacemaker Seminar Positive and Relevant

"We were delighted to have Neil Evans present the Peacemaker Seminar at Hillside recently. It is so good we should have had it years ago! As one leader commented, it is profoundly relevant to every area of our lives. It is also entertaining and accessible because of a good mix of short talks, small group discussions and dvd clips and I personally found it surprisingly positive and encouraging" - Graeme Carle, Hillside Community Church
